Bob Frymire started studying music at the age of three. After studying percussion and piano Bob took up the flute in the seventh grade and continued to play through college. For several years Bob took a break from playing the flute starting to play again in 1972.
In 1979, Bob started a business of selling flutes professionally through his business “Flute Finders” which continues to date.
Bob has been a Musician’s Union member and played for pay in several orchestras. Deciding that playing for the joy of playing, Bob has primarily played in community orchestras and chamber groups.
Bob has performed with the University of Portland wind ensemble, pep band, and orchestra, Oregon City Orchestra, Columbia Symphony, Cascade Orchestra, Chamber Music of Oregon orchestra, Clark County Community College Orchestra, Bravo Orchestra, and the Mt. Hood Pops.
Bob has had lessons and/or master
classes with Karen Adrian, Marcy Lohman,
LeAnn Sterling, Jeanne
Baxtresser, Amy Porter, Alberto Armaza, Steven Schultz,
Gary
Schocker, and Patrick Gallois.
