Aszemar Glenn
Aszemar Glenn, noted composer, pianist and conductor was born in
Portland, Oregon. Glenn was mainly exposed
to the pulsing rhythms of soul and gospel music. It wasn't until his college years that classical
music entered into his experience.
Glenn won the state music composition competition in 1973 sponsored by the
Oregon chapter of the National Music Teacher's Association. His talent in
classical music grew in leaps and bounds during his college years.
He received a Fine Arts degree at Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon graduating in
1973 with disciplines of Art, Dance, and Music.
He is the recipient of various music awards and honors and
has participated in competitions on the international level.
He has his own music production studio, MY MUSIC,
in the St Johns-Cathedral Park district of Portland, Oregon, where he
offers professional music studies in piano, performance, and
composition.
